Annual Advertising Performance Report 2021/2

Thursday, May 12, 2022

About The Job has published its annual advertising performance report which covers all recruitment advertising activity that took place from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022.

About The Job's reporting system is able to capture data on the most common key word searches carried out, job vacancy views and applications. At any given time the system can dissect candidate registration data relevant to Location, Sector, Skill Sets and Qualifications. In addition to these automated system stats relating to Advertising; About The Job also monitors the number of candidates who make the interview stage and, where applicable, via our membership service, we are also able to record the rate of successful placements made.

For the most recent performance report, About The Job has reconciled the results from hundreds of advertising campaigns that took place between 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022. Due to the COVID19 Pandemic, there is a natural decline in overall advert campaign numbers against 2021.

Our Performance report focuses on job ad views, applications, live candidates, the growth in candidate registrations and finally interview and placement success rates.

Advertising Performance Report Stats 2021/2

Average views per vacancy 176
Average applications per vacancy 14
Number of Active CVs 41,542
Number of new candidate registrations 8,719
Interview success rate 91%
Placement success rate 79%

Comparing our latest performance report statistics against 2020

The average number of vacancy views saw an increase of 7.1% with the number applications per job rising 8.4%. Looking at candidate registration activity, the number of active CVs in our database grew 4.35%. The biggest percentage increase was, by no surprise, with new candidate registrations. New candidate registrations went up 17.7% on 2020 figures. This is as a clear result of unemployment rates continuing to increase due to the COVID19 Pandemic.

To finish up the report, candidates making interview stage dropped 1%, but the number of successful placements made saw a welcomed increase of 2% on 2020. Both of these figures see very little change as the bar for performance has sat at an exceptionally high level for 3 years now; a standard we see as a great accomplishment at About The Job.
