Working Hours - Monday - Friday 07.30 - 17.00 / 1 in 2 Saturdays 08.00 - 12.00 = 44.5 hours per week.


The Role -


Yard Supervisor

To lead the team to deliver excellent customer service in the yard, through accurate picking & packing, excellent product knowledge and demonstrating best practice in regards to Health & Safety. To build strong customer relationships with our trade and retail customers and ensure we are consistently delivering to expectations and needs. To ensure you lead the yard team to deliver a consistent and reliable high standard of work, driving sales, to create a high performing yard team.


Key Accountabilities…

·Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met

·Leading, coaching and supporting the yard team.

·Accurate picking of products, checking quality and quantity prior to packing & loading.

·Maintain Yard Standards in line with yard audit criteria.

·Provide Customers & Suppliers excellent service and attention in the Yard.

·The safe and secure custody of company property, stock, equipment, materials and other forms of asset including information.

·Correct and Safe use of all mechanical equipment and machinery

  • Previous experience within a builders merchants (essential)
  • A Valid Forklift License
  • A positive & approachable attitude
  • Good understanding of stock control principles
  • Team leader / supervisory experience
  • A good problem solver, logically minded and good math skills
  • Professionalism and who will promote and adhere to the company's value’s
  • Good interpersonal skills, confidence and ability to approach customers
