Working Hours

47.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri)

There may be the opportunity of overtime but this would be advised on a weekly basis. Overtime is paid at time + quarter

About the Job

The work we undertake is very much a manual and physical job with lifting of large, heavy and sometimes awkward items so it is important that the applicant is physically fit to undertake the work. The main role of the CNC Operator will be to operate one of our CNC’s, working to programs and deadlines provided. The CNC Operator will also be required from time to time to operate the panel saw, edge bander, spindle moulder and various other woodworking machine. If the applicant has a forklift license this is a bonus however not mandatory. We can provide forklift training if required and if no license is currently held.

Our overall work is very diverse, manufacturing a wide variety of cabinetry and joinery items, including but not limited to the following:

  • Reception desks
  • Bars and serveries
  • Kitchens
  • Wardrobes
  • Seating
  • Wall and ceiling panelling
  • Credenzas
  • Display units

You would be working with a wide range of materials including real wood veneers, solid timber, MDF, laminate, melamine boards, glass, stone, metalwork, Corian and other solid surface materials.


  1. Competent in the running of CNC machines
  2. Experience in the use of a panel saw, wall saw, spindle moulder, planer and thicknesser is preferred but not mandatory as training can be provided
  3. Ideally a background in the use of hand held routers, jigsaws, planers, saws, and general hand held power tools
  4. Operation of drum sanders and edge banders is preferred but not essential as training can be provided
  5. Reading of workshop drawings
